Jay Hunter
Jay is the Director of The Demolition Blokes. After more than 10 years in the construction industry, Jay recognized a gap in the industry to provide a better level of service to demolition and asbestos removal clients. This led to Jay undertaking further training in Asbestos removal, along with obtaining his Building Supervisors license.
This ongoing training and associated practical experience have meant The Demolition Blokes have now been able to obtain A Class asbestos removal accreditation in South Australia & New South Wales, and B Class accreditation in Victoria. In each of the three states we are licensed, we have also obtained EPA approval for transport of associated asbestos waste.
In addition to asbestos removal and demolition qualifications, Jay also holds a variety of other qualifications including High Risk work environments. Jay is currently working towards obtaining his general builders license.
Outside of work, Jay is a passionate support of grass roots sports, being a past player, and now sponsoring a number of local clubs.
Jay prides himself on being able to provide a high-quality service at a reasonable price throughout three states. The Demolition Blokes is fully insured, certified and reliable, going above and beyond the national legislation and safety requirements for asbestos removal. Darren Hunter
Darren is currently the Lead Supervisor as The Demoliton Blokes. To enable him to spend time with his growing family, Darren commenced working for his family’s demolition business three years ago, after completing a long stint as a fly in fly out oil rigger.
Working within the demolition industry led to numerous enquiries, specific to asbestos removal. Recognising the opportunity presented to grow the family business, Darren undertook further training asbestos removal to expand on his skills and knowledge already gained in the demolition industry.
Darren has undertaken extensive training to gain the relevant skills and certification to allow him to perform high quality asbestos removal and disposal services, compliant with the industry standard. Darren currently holds A Class & B Class asbestos removal qualification, along with B supervisor certification in asbestos removal. In addition Darren holds a variety of high risk work area qualifications.
Outside of work, Darren enjoys spending time with his family, and is passionate about Australian Rules Football, playing for his local club.
Darren prides himself on being able to undertake all the necessary planning, risk assessment, removal and safe waste disposal required to complete a job from start to finish.
